Winter feeding in 2007-08

Several thousand of Iowa's cow-calf producers rely on feeding cornstalks through the winter each year to help reduce their feed bill. Wet conditions in October 2007 heavily damaged the quality of Iowa's cornstalks, though, forcing producers to assess their situation for the winter and consider changing their feed strategy. The following fact sheets were prepared to help producers plan for winter feeding.
